| Asean Must Be Outward-looking - Syed Hamid |

PUTRAJAYA, Aug 8 (Bernama) -- Asean can no longer afford to continue looking inward as the 10-nation grouping now counts some of the most powerful countries in the world as its partners, Foreign Minister Datuk Seri Syed Hamid Albar said Monday.
"Asean must know how to interact confidently with such nations without compromising its role as the prime-mover behind activities such as the Asean Regional Forum and Post-Ministerial Conferences," he told reporters after unveiling the official logo of the 11th Asean Summit to be hosted by Malaysia .
The Dec 12 to 14 summit at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre located in the heart of the capital will carry the theme "One Vision, One Identity, One Community"...
